Blurb-
When a crippled young lord rescues a girl falling from a tree, it reveals a secret about himself and his mother's side of the family that could put him at the center of a war with beings he thought only existed in fairy tales.

Tristan Gareth Smyth lived his entire life stuck at home at Waverly Park and left behind while his Grandfather makes trips to London, all because of his blasted wheelchair.

Then an American heiress falls in his lap, literally, and he must find a way to keep her at a distance to protect not only his secret, but everyone around him from an assassin sent to kill him.

My Review: What a brilliant and delightful read! I was so completely won over by this story and the characters. Each one playing such a pivotal role it was an exciting well thought out book. When I first was introduced to Gareth he was such a hard nut to crack he would let know one get close for fear of either being made a spectacle of or to only be tragically hurt by heart ache. He had no friends and was left to his on devices often as his Grandfather seemed to always be off on his many trips to London. Young Gareth's only bright spot was his Grandfather's ward Tabitha. They were the best of friends and the one person he could share all of his secrets with and could let his guard down with. That is until Jessamine falls literally right into his lap and from that moment on Gareth's world is forever changed and turned upside down. From this moment on Gareth embarks on a quest to discover who he really is and finds out that sometimes letting your guard down will turn into something wonderful. Armored Hearts is a awesome start to what I hope is an amazing series I can't wait to see what the future holds for Gareth and the rest.
