I am so excited that you all could celebrate my new covers with me!! Curse of the Beast and Star Cursed are Young Adult novels and a retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a werewolf twist. They are my first books published and had different models on each cover. I really wanted these novels to match as a set and really shine. So I hired the amazing cover artist, Design by Katt (aka Kathey Amaral) to redo them. https://www.facebook.com/DesignByKatt?fref=ts

She was fantastic to work with and was patient with my endless nit-picking. LOL. I am sure she thought I was OCD.  But enough about us, let’s see those marvelous covers shall we? Drum-roll please…..

She has a wonderful husband and two young children that put up with her “writing time.” When she’s not pondering a spell that will magically calm the ferocious winds that plague the air around her, you can find her, with notepad in hand, frantically jotting down ideas in those short moments between caring for her girls and working full time at the Elko Institute for Academic Achievement.

Art and science have always been her yin and yang. Throughout her college career, she shifted between the two, but in the end graduated with a Bachelors of Mathematics and Science from the University of Wyoming.
Charging into adventures and discovering something new has always been a passion of hers, but as a teenager she used to run screaming from a reading or writing assignment. Looking back, the irony isn’t lost on her. Now you can’t catch her without a book in hand or an open word document. Every time a new idea pops into her mind her heart races and her hand twitches to write it. Excerpt 1:

What in the hell do you think you’re doing?” I panted out. I had found myself once again in the training facility. However, this time I wasn't confronting a couple mutated wolves. I was flat on my back, on a workout mat, with Nathan’s hand shoved down my sweats. “We are supposed to be working here. Not screwing around,” I chuckled.
“My hand slipped,” He said with a sexy grin.
“Oh did it now? And I suppose you just tripped and fell on top of me as well?” I countered.
“Now that you mention it, yes…that’s exactly what happened. I have been feeling rather klutzy lately.”
I extended my neck, and with great will power, placed a kiss at the tip of his nose. I wanted to throw caution to the wind and ride the hand rubbing so deliciously against me. Oh man did I ever, but I forced my body to roll out from underneath him instead.
Nathans forehead hit the mat, and with a low groan, he rolled over onto his back. He looked up at me with lazy lids, heat filling his eyes. My heart thumped so hard that the beats echoed in my ears. He was laid out before me half naked, the long outline of his passion filling the front of his workout shorts completely. His ripped stomach and chest glistened with sweat. I watched as he pulled his hand from behind his head and held it outstretched toward me.

The Forgotten Ones Tour

Title: The Forgotten Ones (The Danaan Trilogy #1)

Author: Laura Howard

Release date: May 15, 2013

Age Group: New Adult

Genre: Paranormal

Tour organized by: AToMR Tours

Book Description:

Allison O'Malley just graduated from college. Her life's plan is to get a job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She doesn't have room for friends or even Ethan, who clearly wants more.

When Allison's long-lost father shows up, he claims he can bring her mother back from the dark place her mind has sent her. He reveals legends of a race of people long forgotten, the Tuatha de Danaan, along with the truth about why he abandoned her mother.

My Review: The Forgotten Ones had me from the very start I was in love! Could not get enough of this story. I was thrilled to find a little Irish folklore in it as I am of Irish decent. Allison was such an awesome character who found strength just when she didn't think she could hold on anymore. I can say that Laura Howard is a seriously talented author that writes beautifully. She has made a fan out of me! I do however only have one complaint and that is that she does not have another book for me to read.

About the Author

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her  obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn't until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.

Love Exactly Review and Tour

Title- Love, Exactly
By-Cassandra Giovanni
Genre-New Adult

Publication Date-June 20, 2013
Pages: 311

Blurb-

Emma Walker was a writer who'd lost herself to someone else's anger--who had given up on ever feeling like herself again.
Evan Levesque was a rock-god--the one all the woman wanted, but he'd never gotten used to the loneliness between the stage and real life.
With just one cup of coffee they'll begin a journey of self-discovery at each others sides, but can Emma handle Evan's fame while dealing with her own demons? Emma's checkered personal past, a bad relationship that haunts the edges of her memories, threatens to make everything implode on them when Evan takes matters into his own hands.
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but your words...they'll destroy my soul--Can Emma handle being put back together and facing who she's become because of it?

My Review: Hot, Steamy, Erotic, love story with a gorgeous rock star right? Wrong! That was exactly what I thought when I agreed to do this review. Now don't get me wrong Evan is very nice to look at and he is a bit steamy but, there is so much more to him and when he meets Emma you realize that this book is so not the typical romance at all! Emma is a realistic female character with all the things that could go wrong baggage. I felt like I could so relate to her. Love Exactly will take you on a ride through the demons of Emma's past and drop you off in front of Evan. Does true love happen? Will Emma let her heart go? None of these questions will I answer however, if you get a copy of your own Cassandra Giovanni just might be able to tell you. I will most definitely be looking for more books by Cassandra Giovanni as she has shown me that not all love stories are the same and she knows how to break the cookie cutter mold! Love Exactly is for sure my cup of tea!

The Writers Voice Blog Tour

Tour Co-hosts:
The Writers Voice is a multi author blog where prominent authors from around the web come together and share their thoughts on all things literary or otherwise. Here is a peek at our team of authors!

What do you feel is your
biggest 'writerly' fault
and how do you deal with it?

“I’m terrible at marketing. Because I work full time as well as write, I just don’t have the time to dedicate to marketing my books. My hubby helps with this a bit, and I’m now participating in several author groups on Facebook where we cross-promote our work.”
–Raine Thomas

“Perfectionism. I want everyone to love my stories and I know that is impossible. I try to remind myself that if I just do what I do best, if I just tell a story to the best of my ability and one person likes it, then that is enough.”
–Quinn Loftis

“Confidence. I get so terrified I will do something wrong that in the middle of a great writing streak I completely freeze and feel the need to stop until I feel more confident again. I try to overcome it by teaching myself to write for myself, that way there is no failure because the act of writing is in and of itself success. After all, there are always edits and rewrites!”
–Emma Michaels

“I tend to rush things. Reviewers have called my books fast-paced, which they are, but sometimes I have to consciously remind myself to SLOW DOWN. I usually write the second half of my books too quickly and have to go back and flesh things out in revisions to keep it from being too quick.”
–Shana Norris

“I can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to writing and when I feel myself getting worked up I calm myself down by taking several deep breaths.”
–Tanya Contois

“To not have patience. There is no right way to patience, each day, every day in this industry tests your patience. I have learned to sit back, breath - it will always work out. Sometimes you have to take a step back and let it all fall in place.”
–Carlyle Labuschagne

“I would say that editing is my biggest challenge. I get so caught up in editing and it ends up taking so much time. And even though I have an editor I still tend to over edit.”
–Victoria Simcox

“My biggest fault as an author is my pessimism. I see the glass half empty sometimes and that can have a really negative effect on your work. You can start to think, “I’m never going to get this done,” or “I’m wasting my time here, no one is going to like this.” If you start thinking that way, then you lose all drive to write. I have to give myself a slap sometimes.”
–Frankie Rose

“Homonyms. *sigh* Where I right the incorrect spelling of common words… snicker. Once I’d written, “vile” which was supposed to be “vial” four times in Everblue and it was missed by all my beta readers and proofers. *headdesk* Now I hire someone to read my stuff so I don’t do that anymore.”
–Brenda Pandos

“Time. I am a full time teacher, wife, mother…. This leaves very little time to write and hone my craft. I wish I could write more, take writing classes, attend more writer’s workshops and retreats…”
–Amy Maurer Jones

“Well at this point I’ve been getting a lot of reviews stating that I over-explain the whole prison system in Dehumanized. I’ve realized that my problem is that I overstate things. I noticed it in my writing once the reviews starting coming in, and I’m working on that. I haven’t gotten a method to fix it yet other than to be observant, but hopefully it’ll become second nature to curb the fault.”
–Michael Loring

...'till death do them part.

Excerpt:
The bell above the door jingled as I walked into the building, and the smells of new and old books wafted their way through my nostrils. This was heaven. I perused the aisles finding the new supernatural and fantasy ones. I thought about the large pile at home waiting to be read. It was about to get larger. I made my way toward the counter to pay, when the pounding headache found its way back. Immediately following, nausea clenched my stomach causing a few gags to gurgle out of my throat. I couldn't catch my breath and my heart jabbed against my rib cage. Trying to walk, and find somewhere to sit, I fell taking the books with me to the floor. When my eyes opened, darkness surrounded me. One tiny light peaked from behind the black drapes. Fear tightened its grip on my stomach.
I stood on legs of Jell-O and made my way toward the light, hoping it would wake me from this odd dream. Stumbling across the dark path, a figure draped in night stood before me. A yelp escaped from my lips. I tried to get away, but his sparkling blue eyes locked me in place. With midnight hair spiked to a perfect point, he watched me with pursed lips. His toned body towered over me.
His eyes danced along each portion of my body and I felt naked standing unguarded in front of him. In those eyes there wasn't desire but a longing, and I understood. I couldn't move, and didn't want to. For the briefest of seconds we stared at each other. Then he took a step forward. With that one step, his body was drenched in light head to toe. I could see every detail. With that one minor step forward his whole appearance had changed drastically. He went from being a dark seductive stranger, to a hideous foul beast. His blue eyes transformed to a deep shade of red like blood coated them. His lips once so full and lush, were now pulled back into a sneer as large protruding fangs slid from his gums.
I screamed and looked around for an escape, but where do you run to in the dream world? His hand clenched against my shoulder. He spun me around and brought my back against his tight chest. Hard stiff hands pulled my head to a tilt. I felt hot steamy breath against the crevice of my neck. Was he going to bite me? Sobbing, I tried to break free from his grasp. Hoping that death in a dream was only that, but this dream seemed so real, so alive; I didn't know what to expect. Thrashing about I felt more hands on my shoulders, and I tried to fight back. When my eyes opened, the room was bathed in beautiful luminescence. I found myself back in the book store.
“What was that?” I asked to no one in particular. I sighed with relief. It was nice to be back in the real world. That dream was frightening. I felt his hands on my body. His hot breath still stuck to my neck.

Excerpt:
“I know.” The two words ghosted against the skin of her neck, sending goose bumps down her spine. “But I want to touch you. I want to put my hands all over you. I want to kiss every inch of you and taste you as you come apart in my arms. I want to feel you wrapped around me with nothing but my name on your lips and the sheets a tangled mess beneath us. I want…” He exhaled heavily into her ear. “I want. I want. I want!”

It was purely the hard surface at her back that kept her from sliding in a puddle at his feet. Her body thrummed. Her knees quivered. She was so hot it was a wonder she hadn't exploded.
“Do it, Octavian” She ghosted the tips of her fingers along the hem of his shirt. “Touch me.”

He growled low in his throat, his forehead dropping another inch toward her shoulder, his hair tickling the side of her face. “Be my angel, Riley, not my siren. Don’t tempt me.”

Moistening her lips with a sweep of her tongue, Riley glided her fingers over his belt, tracing the strip of leather to the silver buckle in the center. She felt rather than heard his deep inhalation and the tremor that raked his powerful body. Driven by his surrender, she used two fingers to walk over the square carvings etched into his abdomen, biting her lip to stop the grin that pulled when he groaned.

“I want to be both for you, Octavian,” she whispered, letting her lips brush the curve of his shoulder.
