The Dysfunctional Test Review

Title: The Dysfuntional Test
Author: Kelly Moran
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Pages: 317

The Blurb: "You are cordially challenged to a test of true love. "

Growing up in her large, crazy Serbian family, Camryn Covic became an expert at shutting down her emotions in order to maintain her sanity. But when she loses her apartment, her job and her boyfriend all in one day, she hits her breaking point.

Worse, if her family finds out she's single "again," her sister's upcoming wedding will be a disaster. The bride-to-be has a plan, though. A plan that involves an old friend, a pretend relationship...and the probability of ending up in a padded cell. This time for real.

Troy Lanske agreed to the crazy plan only because, when he was a lonely foster child, Camryn was his lifeline. But she isn't the idealistic girl he remembers. She's become so jaded that she doesn't even believe in love anymore.

He sets out to restore her faith in happily-ever-afters, but his plan backfires when the fake relationship begins to feel all too real. Falling for the one woman he can't have could mean losing more than just his honorary family. He could lose everything.

Warning: Contains a Playgirl-material hero and a woman who thinks she couldn't be any more wrong for him. Enter one "Big Fat Overly Romantic Serbian Family." Sit back and watch the magic happen. Enjoy!

My Review: What a fun and delightful book! I enjoyed reading this book. The Dysfunctional Test is such a really great down to earth story. There was so much reality that I could connect to. The characters were so real and easy to connect with it was almost as if I were right there with them. As I read it was like watching a movie play out in my mind. I loved every minute of it!
The main character of The Dysfunctional Test is Camryn Covic. Camryn's whole world just fell apart all at once in one fail swoop and she is left without a job, without a home, and without her fiance what's a girl to do! She calls her sister! Camryn comes from a large Serbian family and is constantly left feeling like the black sheep or picked on by her family. Her sister Heather is her only hope only one problem Heather is to be married in a week and now Camryn has no fiance to bring home to meet the family or does she. Heather swings a plan into action that includes Camryn and their long time family friend Troy Lanske. If they can pull this off Heather's wedding is saved and so is Camryn from humiliation of not having a guy of her own to bring home. Can they pull it off without getting caught and before Camryn and Troy realize they truly need each other? Not my story to tell. I will say that I enjoyed this story from beginning to end! I laughed out loud at times and had a few misty eyed moments but that's my hopeless romantic side showing. I am a true believer in fate and that sometimes love finds us when we least expect it. Sometimes the heart knows more than the brain! Kelly Moran is a talented author. The Dysfunctional Test is my first book by her and can guarantee it won't be my last!
