For a vampire, the journey from life to death is just the beginning. While working at Roelle's ranch, Daumia is given more and more responsibilities. In a terrible twist of revenge, Orpheus's only living son, Jacob is sold to an English family. Orpheus and Sunaria leave Spain behind to find Jacob and bring him home.
London is almost Orpheus's downfall when he stumbles upon a den of vampires lorded over by Delacroix, one of the most fearsome of all the undead. In order to free the mortal prisoners that Delacroix keeps in his seedy dungeons, as well as survive himself, Orpheus must draw on the darkest part of himself, delving into the depths of his psyche.
Orpheus triumphs in finding his son but in doing so he loses Sunaria. Or so he believes. Sunaria's capture and possible murder by the vampire hunters known as The Stone Masters are all it takes to send Orpheus spiraling.
Orpheus sets off on a rampage intending to kill every last Stone Master and their men known as the Stone Lords with devastating results.
Struggling to hold on to the last remnants of his humanity, Orpheus emerges from the underworld, rising out of the ashes of his past and evolving into the deadliest of killers, one that no mortal or immortal can resist.

A Vampire's Reckoning

After decimating Jadeon's life, Orpheus tortures him further by kidnapping Jadeon's childhood sweetheart Catherine De Mercy. Jadeon never gives up and searches tirelessly for them, sacrificing two-hundred years of his life until he is a broken man.

Orpheus arranges for Ingrid and Jadeon to meet, knowing that love will blossom between them. His intention: to drive a wedge between the lovers and cause Jadeon even more pain then he has already endured.
What begins as a romantic love affair between Jadeon and Ingrid ends terribly when Jadeon tries to save her from being transformed into a nightwalker by Orpheus. A fight to the death occurs at Stonehenge as dawn approaches. Orpheus and Jadeon are killed, burned up by the sun, and their ashes are joined. In a terrible twist of fate, seconds before Orpheus is killed, he realizes that Sunaria, his long lost love, is still alive.
Fabian Snowstrom, the most ancient of vampires, performs a blood ritual in order to resurrect Jadeon. Unaware of the melding of ashes.
Jadeon and Orpheus rise from the dead as one and the same.
A new vampire is born.
Book III
A Vampire's Dominion
Vampires Jadeon and Orpheus have a few things in common. They both hate each other. They’ve both killed each other. And they both just woke up in the same body. My Review: What an amazing series this has been and a very appropriate ending with Bohemian! I was blown away by the story. I relished reliving every bit of the characters lives and how each one suffered and yet stepped up and became something better someone stronger than they had ever been. Willing to take on the world to save what was sacred to them. Bohemian was no different learning how it all ended for Ingrid and Jadeon was truly poetic. I am in love with this series and can promise you it is one that I will read over again and again as it truly touches my soul. Vanessa Fewings has just found a spot on my shelf of favorites.
