Book Synopsis
A Guardian's Truth is about Ariella, a young Guardian Queen of Royals, in the secret land called Isles of Olympus. Forced to sit on her throne before she comes of age, and yet kept in the dark about her history, who her parents were and the life she never got to have with them, after being given to her maternal uncle and his wife, when Ariella was only minutes old. No one would even speak her parents names after that. Frustrated by the constant over protection of the councilmen and women of the Isles, Ariella and her closest friend (whom rarely left her side from the age of four), her dragon Kyith, set out on an adventure within and outside of her realms, that would start the events that could lead her realm back into war. Many enemies are found to be trusted friends, while some friends are shown to be true enemies, Ariella is left wondering: who can she trust, who she should trust? Guardians are descendants of the first two Gods, Uranus, the God of the heavens and sky, and Gaia, the Goddess of the Earth and nature. Their first born child, a son, Gaius, named for both his parents, was betrayed by his younger siblings as they overthrew Uranus by beheading him, so to rule the world and heavens themselves, Gaius wished only to avenge his father’s murder, but Gaia had other plans. She gave him his own realm hidden from the titan’s wrath, and their descendants. A gift for his loyalties, he and his kin and any God, Goddess or magical creature that wished to escape the titans and later the Olympians, would live free of the tainted bloodlines of those that had murdered the father God for greed and power, with only one hitch, no Guardian could ever wish to lay claim to the original homeland of Gods, Mount Olympus. For if they did, all that had been, could be undone! My Review: When i agreed to read this book I had no idea what I was in for. I was leery and skeptical not sure it was even a book I wanted to read. So I turned on my Kindle and began to read. I began by reading the synopsis and became intrigued by it I thought that maybe there was something to this book that needed and deserved more merit than I initially had given it. Isles of Olympus A Guardians Truth became a quest for me to discover it's true content and to erase all of the skepticism I had in me. I at this point began to dive deeper into this book finding my self lost in a realm of complete imagination and it was wonderful. Each page came to life before me with more depth and an almost surreal feeling to them. I was hooked! There was no coming back until I reached the end of the book. I can not find the words to describe the beauty I saw before me the way my mind had pictured the Isles was truly magical. Each character I met seemed more real than even you or I. Ariella seemed wise beyond her age and yet still child like at times. I knew that she was meant to be queen even if she didn't. Kyith her trusted friend and dragon had a story of his own which I had yet to discover. As I grew to know more about the Isles and Ariella I became more fascinated with this book and wanted to know more. Ariella was on a mission since a very early age she desperately wanted to know who her parents were as she had never seen them. She made it her life's goal to make that discovery no matter what the cost. As she seeks out to discover the truth she learns that things and people are not always what they seem and that trust in some could turn her world upside down and rage a war like none as ever seen yet trust in others may lead her to the answers she seeks and desires most in her heart. I truly enjoyed Isles of Olympus A Guardians Truth. I am left with an overwhelming desire to know more about Ariella and her world. Thank You Sandra Schepis for sharing this wonderful and magical story with the rest of us!
