BLURB
Her fall has just begun. Only his touch can save her from the shift that could destroy it all.
Within my blood runs a thing our kind calls the Shadowing Disease. It shadows over, and bends everything to its will. When the first blood- shift came, it tore through flesh and blood, threatening to bend me, break bone, shatter my mind and entrap my heart with its honeyed, seductive poison. It came with vicious intent, moving my thoughts and altering me forever. The shift has caused a rift within me. No one was safe when it entrapped me in its claws of foul lust. But I have the only antidote against the evil that becomes me – his touch alone has the power to release the spurs of sweet darkness that clung on for dear life. I knew what I had to do; the desperation pulled my mind with the deep determination of a hungry predator. But by the time the revelation raised me from the dark dungeon of my bounds – it might have been too late.

Excerpts/Teasers:
A body is fragile; it breaks, it tears, and it bleeds; it is also tangible and real, beautiful and rare.
A soul is an ever-fighting, ever-growing entity. It has a mind of its own.
But, a mind is a curse; it can corrupt, be corrupted, think too much, or not enough.
When body meets soul, it’s perfect. It knows the truth, but it cannot live without a mind.
The mind activates the power from the soul to the body.
The balance is never perfect. This is the curse of being broken.
“I was on a lit path, a raging firestorm for him – all of him. My body ached for it. I had found the antidote to my disease, and in those forced images of false memories, I found my salvation, a cure from myself…”

By- Jen Minkman
Publication Date-June 1, 2013
*Novella* (80 pages)
Genre- YA Dystopian

Blurb-
‘I walk toward the sea. The endless surface of the water extends to the horizon, whichever way I look.

Our world is small. We are on our own, and we only have ourselves to depend on. We rely on the Force deep within us, as taught to us by our forefathers.

If I were to walk westward from here, I would come across a barrier – the Wall.
Behind it, there are Fools. At least, that’s what everyone says.
I have never seen one.’

Leia lives on the Island, a world in which children leave their parents to take care of themselves when they are ten years old. Across this Island runs a wall that no one has ever crossed. The Fools living behind it are not amenable to reason – they believe in illusions. That’s what The Book says, the only thing left to the Eastern Islanders by their ancestors.
But when a strange man washes ashore and Leia meets a Fool face to face, her life will never be the same. Is what she and her friends believe about the Island really true?

Or is everyone in their world, in fact, a Fool?

Captured Lies Tour & Review

Title: Captured Lies
Author: Maggie Thom
Genre: Suspense/Thriller/Romance
Pages: 301

The Blurb: She was kidnapped not once but twice and now someone wants her dead because of it....
Her life was a lie!
Bailey knew her upbringing wasn't normal but she’s worked hard to stabilize her life. At 29, she finally has a good business, a stable home; her life is miles from that of her childhood. Then suddenly her mother dies, leaving a gaping hole and a discovery that they may not even be related. If Guy, the private investigator is to be believed, her life is a lie. Using the skills she learned on the streets, Bailey travels back through a sketchy and dangerous past, to find answers. Dodging bullets, staying ahead of those who want her dead and convincing Guy she can do it alone, are making it difficult to discover not only the secrets of her mother’s past but that of a family claiming she is theirs.
Everyone seems to have a story... but who’s telling the truth? And who wants her dead? Is Guy part of the solution? Or part of the problem? To discover the facts, she’ll have to untangle a web of deceit, lies, and secrets, dating back over thirty years.

My Review: What would you do if you learned that your whole life had been a lie? Who do you trust? Is the story your being told even true? These are the questions that Bailey must face as she enters a journey to discover who she really is. Captured Lies is a very edge of your seat sort of book. It takes you through the loss of who Bailey believed was her mother to discovering that there are a ton of secrets surrounding her very existence. This is a action packed thriller that leaves you wanting to find the answers just as badly as Bailey (the main character of the book). I was totally enthralled with this book and read it as if it were my life that needed to be discovered. Maggie Thom writing style had me setting up and taking notice. I believe I will be reading more of her books. Captured Lies was most definitely my cup of tea and I hope it will be yours as well!

Title-Shaggy Maggie
By-Tyffani Clark Kemp

Publication Date- July 25th, 2013

Blurb-
Harvey Young, rock star lead of the Scottish band Shaggy Maggie, has dreamed his whole life about the red-haired girl from the school bus that he bullied until she ran away. He's resigned himself to groupie fill-ins. There's no way he'll ever see her again. Why torture himself pining for his lost youth?
Magda Canady may be on the unlucky side, but her life is starting to work itself out. She's an editor for a New York Publishing company and her long-time lawyer boyfriend is taking her home to Scotland to meet the parents and his younger brother. But the trip holds more danger than she could have imagined. Between a psycho stalker and the boy who tortured her through high school, she might lose her mind - and her life - before it's all said and done.
When a chance encounter brings them together once more, it's the past, the present, and a little psychosis that may get in the way of the future that was always meant to be.

My Review: Have you ever started down one path only to realize halfway down it may be the wrong path? Have you ever looked at a complete stranger and something in you is so sure you know them? No, well you may have feelings like this after reading Shaggy Maggie. Magda Canady stuggles with this and a severe case of clumsiness. Then throw in a psycho stalker and you have the making of a great story! As I turned each page I was never at a point of wanting to not read further. Tyffani Clark Kemp writing style left no room for lulls or gaps. She definitely knows how to keep her readers interested and on the edge of their seat. I am very much intrigued to find out what awaits in the next installment of the Shaggy Maggie Band Series.

Title-Possess My Heart

By J.A. Howell

Publication Date- July 25th, 2013

Blurb-
"You can't leave me because I'll only ever love you."

What was supposed to be a final goodbye turned into one last piece of unfinished business for Brody Walsh.

As long as Aggie Walker's heart still belongs to him, he's destined to remain in limbo, watching over her.
But when her family decides to send her to Scotland for the summer and she meets Camden MacTavish, it seems despite their constant head-butting that there may be something more between them.

That is, if she is willing to let Camden in.

As Aggie finds herself torn between her lover lost and her lover anew, it becomes clear that she cannot hold on to both. If she decides to let Camden into her heart, she will have to let Brody go. And if she can't let Brody go, she risks losing Camden-and a second chance at love.
Forever.

My Review: I found this book to be a light refreshing read. I laughed out loud at some of the antics that went on throughout the story. J. A. Howell style of writing kept the story intriguing by using real everyday struggles and triumphs. We all struggle or have struggled with lost love and new love but some how Miss Howell was able to make it come alive and dance across the pages of Possess My Heart and show us all over again how exciting and fun and sometimes tearful all of that can be.
Aggie Walker is no different She has to decide to either let go of love lost or never love again. As Aggie travels down this path she discovers that sometimes things are not always as they seem if only she would open her heart again she may find love anew staring right back at her. Will she let go of  what is lost and open up to something new or will she walk away never knowing what could be? I won't tell you the answer to that question as you will have to read for yourself. I can assure you it's worth the picking up a copy to find out.

Relativity and Vitality Reviews

Title: Relativity
Author: M.A. George
Genre:
Pages: 416

The Blurb:No matter the planet, Palta Capal is an alien.

She’s lived a lifetime where she never belonged…but relocating to the “home world” she’s never seen has her feeling more like an outsider than ever.

Teetering between the thrill of newfound love and the despair of family loss—not to mention the looming threat of global war—Palta doesn’t need any more excitement in her life.

But what she needs and what she gets are two entirely different things.

My Review: After reading the first book in this series Proximity I was left with wanting to know so much more. Then came along Relativity I was over the moon excited to dive in and get answers to the questions I had. This story did not lag at all Relativity picks up right where Proximity leaves off and takes you for the ride of your life! I could not put the book down I didn't stop reading until the end. Palta is just as strong of a character as ever. M.A. George does an amazing job with describing where the characters are and who they are that you feel as though you are right there with them feeling and experiencing everything with them. I watched it all play out in my mind to the very end and still my thirst for this series was not quenched as I knew there had to be more. I feel so wrapped up in this series and I love that it leaves me wanting more!

Title: Vitality
Author: M.A. George
Genre:
Pages: 218

The Blurb: Palta learned long ago not to expect a “normal” life. She’d settle for one free of close encounters with supernaturally-gifted homicidal maniacs.

Apparently that’s too much to ask.

Join your favorite Onontian royal family, as they settle into life at the palace...only don’t get too comfortable, because things are about to take a hair-raising turn.

Vitality is the gripping third installment in the Proximity series.

My Review: Magnificent! I am in love with Vitality! I could not have asked for a better story than this series! Again there is no lull in the story what so ever Vitality doesn't miss a beat from picking up were Relativity left off. M.A George continues to amaze with her writing never forgetting to leave room for the reader to have imagination as to what they may see while reading this series. I am blown away by the scenery and the characters as this story plays out in my mind. I again was so drawn into this series and completely taken with every single detail. I won't give away any of the story however I will tell you that investing in this series is totally worth it!

Rock N Roll Promises Review

Title: Rock N Roll Promises
Author: Ambear Shellea
Genre: NA/ Paranormal/ Fantasy
Pages: 123

The Blurb:The beginning of a new existence. The creation of a whole new animal.

Fulfilling a promise leads to searching her soul, her past, and the one night that changed her life forever...
Young, vibrant and with her whole life in front of her, Anna is looking forward to ringing in the new year at her favorite bar. Dressed to the hilt, ready for a great night, she meets Sebastian - tall, mysterious and handsome. Her one-night stand turns into a one-life exchange!
The beginning of a new existence...
Anna finds her new life holds more than even she knows. It promises rock n roll, sex, love, secrets and a new set of rules. She embraces her new found self and learns to adapt. Anna, and her best friend, Paige, move back home to the states and live as normally as they can. As they say, best laid plans. Life has a different idea and yet another set of rules. Rules that even she breaks.

My Review: Bang, and the race is on this story leaped right off the pages from the moment I first started reading and didn't slow down even to say goodbye at the end. I was so sure that this was a story that I was not interested in reading that I didn't want to give it a chance. Boy what a mistake I would have made. Rock N Roll Promises is so full of everything packed into one big punch that leaves you toppled over wanting more. The characters are so well written that I could see them clearly in my mind. Anna is not some silly school girl with a crush. She is a force that will knock you off your feet and leave you wondering what just happened. Paige (the best friend) well she has a few secrets of her own that may just leave your head spinning. I will leave you to wonder what this story is truly about as it's not for me to tell but, it is for you to read for yourself. This book turns out is definitely my cup of tea as I anxiously await the next in the series.
